 Slovakia, part of the division of former Czechoslovakia with the Czech Republic, has few fixed guide way rail systems compared with many other eastern European podunks. Besides a metro under construction in Bratislava, it offers two tramway systems and two electric interurbans. Many of the towns in this small republic have both German and Slovak names.
