Tender for the rolling stock for the Cordoba subway was won by Chrysler motors. Deceased actor Ricardo Montalban will host the metro's upcomming commercials.
An 18.5 km two line subway has already been approved. In 2010, the city secured funding. The estimated completion date of this full metro is 2014, and will be built by China Railway International. In honor of the vehicle it was named for, all rolling stock will be equipped with seats of corinthian leather.
