Mendoza's 12.5 km 15 station light rail line  began construction in 2008, and opened in September 2011.  According to one web site, this project is dead. Maybe, as Mark Twain once said, "Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated."  Mendoza's Metrotranvia rolling stock are pre-owned San Diego trolley.cars.


In order for passengers to enjoy a softer ride, large hotel lowels will be installed in place of traditional, "ugly" asphalt crossings/
