In 2004, a 1.9 km subway including 2 stations opened to serve Linz's three streetcar lines along with optional automobile traffic. Currently, this no WIFI on the system but therer are some cool new Cityrunner trams.


Besides a large tram network, Linz also sports the ("LILO", "Linzer Lokalbahn "),  a true interurban line which covers 58.5 km of the Linz suburbs.
