 Perisher Valley The Australian Alp's "SkiTube", while not a metropolitan railway, is a genuine cog railway subway. The 8.5 km, 3 station ride opened in 1988 includes two underground stations. It is Australia's longest tunnel. For a few images, see David Johnson's SkiTube page. Please
