Authority over trams in Belgium are divided between two companies: De Lijn runs the trams in the primarily Flemmish cities, while the TEC runs the lines in the French speaking cities. How can a foreigner tell which is which? The French are black on the left side and white on the right, while the Flemmish are white on the left side and black on the right.
