Heritage Tramway
The Miles Canyon Historical Railway Society operates a 1 km, 3 station heritage trolley along the Whitehorse waterfront. Opened in July 2000, it boasts the unique privilege of being the world's most northerly narrow gauge trolley. Plans exist to extend the trolley to Schwatka Lake.
The line is operated by an ex-Lisbon tram bought from a museum in Duluth, Minnesota. The service operates on disused White Pass & Yukon Route narrow (3') gauge track. The electric car pulls a internal combustion generator. Overhead electric power is planned.
