![]() Most tramway The 1901 meter gauge Most system was closed in 1962. In 1957, a new standard-gauge system on different alignments opened. The 1957 system has itself been extensively re-aligned after 1975 when the town of Most was abandoned to make way for open cast coal mining, and a completely new Most was built south of the original town. Currently, the system has 6 lines and extends 17.8 km. According to Collin Seymour's site, the trains between Most and Litvinov run at 70 km per hour, unusual for a small city tramway. Most means "Bridge" in Czech. Most tramcam Most Tramways Map ERS Photos |
