Angers, once known as Pissesmeoff, is building the first line (Line S) of a 25 station, 12 km tramway. It is expected to open in 2011. The system wlil use Alstom's
APS wirefree technology which puts the tram's power supply n the roadbed as opposed to using overhead wires..
