Mulhouse

Light Rail, Tram Train

Mulhouse's 13.2 km double tracked tram system opened in 2006. Three lines serve 27 stations, most of which is paralleled by bicycle paths for those who feel the tram is not green enough for them. The system is run by Solea.

A creative and interesting addition to the Mulhouse tram system is what many call the "tram-train" of the infamous Karlsruhe model. Full sized trains are run on standard gauge tracks, in Mulhouse' case 36 km of SNCF tracks, and then shares a 4 km section of Line 3's tram tracks within the city.
