 Mulhouse Light Rail, Tram Train under construction Mulhouse's tram system opened in 2006 with two double tracked lines and 12.5 km. It's first extension is due to open this year (2009). A creative and interesting addition to the Mulhouse tram system is what many call the "tram-train" of the infamous Karlsruhe model. Full sized trains are run on standard gauge tracks, in Mulhouse' case 36 km of SNCF tracks, and then share the tram tracks within the city. Official Home Page Mulhouse Tramway Project |
