Metro

At 270,000 inhabitants, Rennes is one of the smallest cities in the world to have a metro. It currently consists of one 8.6 km line, 1 km of which is underground. The line opened in March, 2002 and uses the VAL technology. A second line has been proposed to break ground in 2013, but the plans are not yet definite.
