Rouen Metro Bus

Rouen
Light Rail subway

The Rouen Metrobus (which runs on two conventional steel rails) was inaugurated in 1994. It is the first light rail project in France developed through a B.O.T. scheme. The 2 line light rail line is 16 km long and has 31 stations (of which 5 are underground), it inter-connects the multiple city centers located on both banks of the river Seine. Combined with a thorough restructuring of the bus network, the Metrobus transit system has improved mobility and the quality of life within the metropolitan area.

No new lines are planned and Rouen has instead invested its transportation monies into bus rapid transit.
