You can reach the cog railway by taking the #56 tram, which originates at Moskva Ter, two stops to Szent JÁnos KÓrhÁz. The cog station is named Városmajor.

The trains run approximately 20 minutes apart. Like all forms of public transport in Budapest, they are comfortable yet spartan. Bring your dog or your bicycle. Everyone does!

Be sure to take a walk at the end of the line, Széchenyi-hegy. It's a beautiful, peaceful neighborhood with a large park on the west side of the station.
