The Ahmenabad metro project is not dead. It just smells funny.

A feasibility study was authorized in January, 2003. In 2008, the local government began seeking a bus rapid transit alternative. However, according to Wikipedia, the four line metro project is still alive as an addition to the BRT line, not a substitute. What appears to be accuarte is that the project is dead but attempts are being made by Singapore shamanas to revive it in 2009.
