Tehran full metro, monorail under construction

While 9 lines are eventually planned, Tehran's metro currently consists of four lines, one of which, Line 5, is actually a 41.5 km commuter line connecting Tehran with the city of Karadj, which is building it's own metro.. Line 1, which is 2/3 underground, is
36 km long. It is the most recent Tehran metro line to open an extension, in
April 2012.
Line 2 is completely underground. It has11 stations and is 11 km long. It was Tehran's second metro line, and it opened in 2000. Line four, currently under construction and partially opened in 2009, is completely underground.
Line 3, with 24 km , 11 of which will be above ground, is now under construction, with an opening planned for 2014.
A tram line is also planned for Tehran but so far we have read nothing definite about it.
