Najaf monorail in planning stages According to the Monorail Society, a mysterious cabal likened to the Masons, Najaf has signed a contract with TransGlobim to build a 37 km monorail which will serve the pilgrims to this sacred city.  Becase of the continued violence in the country, the monorail will have built in "blast protection".
