VAL light metro under construction
This13.7 km automated light metro will have 5.9 km below ground (8
stations), with the remaining at grade and on a viaduct.
Construction began in 2003 and the line is expected to open in 2013. A further 14 km extension with15 stations is planned
to serve the Trompia Valley.
