Tramway and urban underground railway under construction

A 16 km tramway exists in Modena and is run by ACTM, Azienda Communale die Trasporti di Modena. The line runs between Modena and Sassuolo railway stations. A 3 km tunnel which will replace the surface route is nearly complete The subway is expected to be the first link in a larger metro network.
