The LRT project was cancelled in 1999, and we all thought the Padova LRT slept with the fishes. For a while, discussion ensued for a 10.5 km north-south
"rubber" LRT such as in Nancy.
Two additional lines were also been proposed. Fourteen vehicles were also
ordered from Clermont-Ferrand. Finally, in 2007 the 10.3 km, 25 stop "Metrobus" opened for business. Five more lines are planned.
