Subway under construction

No, it's not an underground gondola on rails, it's a real lagoon subway, very much like the one we used to watch weekly on Gilligan's Island. The underground railway, or "Sublagunare",  is expected to serve Venice and the surrounding area, including the airport. The line has already been approved but the technology is still under debate. Emergency boots and scuba gear will be located in each car. Roast pigeon concessions are expected to cover operating expenses.
