Tramwaje = tramway

Poland is home to one true metro and several light railway networks, several of which are metro-like. There are also rumors of a Krakow subway but so far we've been unable to substantiate them. However, this town did get it's first step towards a metro in 2009 - a light rail subway tunnel through downtown.

Reminiscient of American Polish jokes, a railway tunnel in Warsaw is built too small for trains.

Another nice Polish tramways page with several great photos. On Geocities and in Polish but fairly navigable for English speakers. Some gallery links work, others don't.
