Lodz'z 217 km tram network began in 1898, and is currently run by MPK. There are 21 lines and 230 stations, including four interurban lines. Despite a failed plan in te 1980s to build a subway, two lines are being upgraded to light rail status as part of the Lodz Regional Tram Project.  Obviously, this system has lodz going on for it., even if you can derail its rolling stock with a modified TV remote control.
