Mark Goodspeed's Railway ScreenSaver - not a subway but pretty cool

Pitztaler Glacier
Yes, glacier subways are becoming more popular and there are apparently several of them, including  the Alpine Metro (Saas Fe, Switzerland), the Le Perce Neige in Tignes, France, the Gletscherkaprun (near Salzburg, Austria), the Mölltaler Gletscherexpress, the    Val d'Isère, the Skiexpress (Campodolcino, Italy),  St. Gallen's Muehleggbahn, and now the 3.2 km Pitztaler Glacier Express in the Tirol section of Austria.

The Serfaus Dorfbahn - the world's smallest subway! Michel Azema has done an excellent job documenting the inner workings of the obscure 1.2 km train in this tiny Austrian village.
