Romania may not be the most metro friendly of countries, but it's economically challenged population (read: poor country) has caused a large number of small tramway systems in cities and villages to remain when others have faded. The country boasts a number of railbuses, too. Though the rail buses have metro-like qualities insofar as their rolling stock goes, the lines are primarily rural.
