Chaux de Fonds
interurban, light railway

Located in the Jura mountains in the Canton of Neuchatel,
Chaux de Fonds is a istrict as well as a capital city. It is home this interurban - the Chemin de fer du Jura - and a smaller light rail style line, the PSC, or Pont de Martel - Sagne - Chaux du Fonds..Both lines are part of a larger recent aggolmeration known as the Neuchatel Coastal Public Transport.

The 84.8 km Chemin de fer du Jura, also known as the Little Red Train, opened in 1884. While much of the route encompasses the typical Swiss majestic scenery - BORING! - there are some street running sections. Popular throughout the area, the new Stadler rolling stock has embraced technology by creating
it's own Facebook page. It is currently calling for revolution against the oppresive Swiss.
