This 1.9 km one line rack railway opened in 1894.  As you can see by the above photo, it can be caught literally on the station platform. Becaise of it's low speed, one car and infrequent service and single car, it is known locally as the Walzenhausen Express. I've shown it here for it's tram-like appearance and final inside station in Walzhausen.



Cab ride on the Reineck-Walzenhausen Express, which sounds remarkably like a typewriter if you close your eyes.
