Aigle
Interurban tramway

This 6.5 km tramway starts as a street running electric railway in Aigle and connects with the Grand Hotel in Leysin. It one point it converts to an adhesion railway and climbs a 23% gradient. It is one of the first railways to serve the Chablais area of Switzerland and opened in July 1892. It is run by Transports Publics du Chablais.

Other railways run by Transport Publics du Chablais in Aigle is the Aigle-Ollon-Monthey-Champéry and the Aigle–Sépey–Diablerets. The agency also runs the Bex-Villars railway.

Aigle-Ollon-Monthey-Champéry

The
AOMC is a 23.1 km narrow gauge electric railway originally built in 1857. It runs on it's own right of way, and the rolling stock strongly resembles Japanese tramways.

A third electric railway in Aigle is the Aigle–Sépey–Diablerets. This 22.33 km line uses it's own right of way and share's it's main station with Aigle's other two light railways.
