Geneva's network includes modern LRVs that connect with the French border at La Plaine (and beyond during rush hour). The system includes 7 tram lines running 12.1 km which were opened in 1862, and a 15 km light rail line on Swiss Railways track, which opened in 1994. A fourth line, along withfour different extensions are in progress. Geneva is also known forpioneering the low floor tramway, where you can even take atramway restaurant tour.
