Neuchatel
light rail, funicular subway

Light Rail

Neuchatel's light rail line, also known as Line 5, is 8.7 km long and runs primarily on it's own right of way. It was originally built to provide access to a hydroelectric plant in 1892.

Funicular

Neuchatel has two funicular railways, but the one most relevantt to our site is the Fun'ambule, a relatively new funicular subway linkining the lower and upper parts of town. The 330 meter line, whose name means "tightrope walker", opened in 2001
