Suburban Metro (Egeray)

A project known as IZBAN is an upgraded and extended suburban railway which includes several underground stationsand 5 km of tunnel. The 80 km, two line system connects the airport with the city and suburbs. Though it is referred to as a commuter railway, the rolling stock and underground configuration is more reminiscient of a full metro.

Two extensions are under construction, with a third in the late planning stages.
