The Isle of Man consists of three working tramways, one of which is a tourist horse tramway.

• the Manx Electric Railway, this 17.5 km seaside heritage tramway also serves the island's residents, connecting Douglas with Ramsey

• the Snaefel Mountain Railway

There is also a gas operated pier tramway that runs (sometimes), a steam train that is still in use by residents, a 3 1/2" gauge railway (yes, that's not a typo - inch!), a running Thomas the Tank line, and a 3/4 mile mountain railway.
