The Galveston Trolley

Galveston Tourism page with a brief description and picture of the trolley.

These images were taken in July, 1999. The trolley was more of a tourist
attraction than an actual mode of transportation, though I did see several
people using it for transit. The line runs between Galveston's downtown
historical district, "The Strand", and the beach, "Seawall".  It's operating
authority is Island Transit. Currently only one of four cars is operating.

According to the driver, the city of Glaveston plans to replace the track in
late 1999.
